Field Note·Sep 2025

Co-creating curriculum with community facilitators

Curriculum designed in isolation rarely survives contact with the communities it is meant to serve. This field note describes a season of co-creation, in which facilitators from several regions worked alongside educators to shape the materials they would themselves go on to teach.

The result is learning that is relevant, owned, and dignified — and a group of facilitators who are not recipients of a program, but its authors.
