Governance
Committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical stewardship
The Foundation for Collective Prosperity is committed to the highest standards of governance and accountability. Our governance structures and practices are designed to ensure that we serve our mission effectively, manage our resources responsibly, and remain accountable to the communities we serve and the public trust we hold.
How We Govern
Our governance approach is grounded in four fundamental principles that guide all our decision-making and operations.
Transparency
We operate with openness and clarity, making our decision-making processes, financial information, and impact data readily available to stakeholders and the public.
Accountability
We hold ourselves accountable to our mission, our stakeholders, and the communities we serve. Regular reporting and evaluation ensure we meet our responsibilities.
Ethical Stewardship
We manage our resources with the highest ethical standards, ensuring that every dollar is used effectively to advance our mission and serve humanity.

Grant proposals are reviewed by program staff who conduct due diligence and consult with relevant experts. Recommendations are presented to the Board of Directors, which makes final funding decisions based on alignment with our mission, the strength of the proposal, and the potential for impact and learning.
Strategic Planning
Our strategic direction is set through a periodic planning process that involves board members, staff, grantees, and external advisors. This ensures our strategy reflects both our core values and emerging realities in the communities we serve.
Board Governance
The Board meets quarterly to review operations, approve budgets, and make major policy decisions. Between meetings, board committees address specific areas such as finance, audit, and governance.
How We Stay Accountable
We maintain multiple mechanisms to ensure accountability to our stakeholders, our mission, and the public trust.
- Annual audits by an independent accounting firm ensure financial integrity and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Regular impact evaluations assess the effectiveness of our grantmaking and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Transparent reporting through annual reports and IRS Form 990 provides detailed information about our finances and activities.
- Stakeholder engagement through regular dialogue with grantees, donors, and community partners ensures we remain responsive to their needs and insights.
